Meditation in Motion
I love moving my body outside. I love pushing it up a mountain trail with a friend and exploring the woods with my little guy.
I also love working in my yard ~ all by myself.
I find it meditative – especially on these cool, Fall days in Vermont.
Nature is one of my holy spaces. I feel closest to God surrounded by the magnificence of what is possible!

Pilgrimage to Vermont
This weekend, a pilgrimage to the mountains of Vermont will mean catching – what is most likely – peak colors!
I hope that the changing of the leaves and the vast views of bright reds, oranges and yellows will bring you closer to God. I know it does for me!
The Fall Experience Visitors Miss
Something most leaf peepers don’t get to do is rake those leaves. I highly recommend it!

I started raking our yard this week. Each pull across the grass brings gratitude for my own strength – I can do this work.
It also moves me into a state of calmness – my mind is as clear as the grass will soon be. A blank slate that does not contain worry or wonder of future things.
I’m so in the moment as I move my body and those fallen leaves.
Jump In!
There’s something else so joyful about those leaves blanketing our yards.
How happy they make kids.
It’s hard to spot a pile of leaves and not jump in!

Holy Season
Being in Vermont the moment of peak colors is like reaching the Holy Grail of our Holy season. Add sunshine to that moment and your soul is being graced by the divine.
