Epic Dragon Party Battle
My little guy is obsessed with How To Train Your Dragon!
Luckily, he has great friends who will play along … as he tries to capture dragons, save the eggs and whatever else he dreams up … on the playground.
So when it came time to pick a theme for his birthday party, it was all Toothless, Hiccup and the rest of this mythical cast of characters. (Check out that epic birthday cake, by baker extraordinaire Sara Gingue, from Sugar Buckets!)
Speaking of epic, our guests knew to be ready for an Epic Water Balloon Battle between the parents and kids. Judging from the laughter and screams of delight … I think it lived up to its name.
How EPIC Are These Brownies … Really
Which brings me to the box that I COULD NOT RESIST months ago at the store.
There it was spelled out for a dessert lover right on the front – Duncan Hines®
EPIC Salted Caramel Brownie Kit. It’s a bold claim and one that needs to be lived up to if you dare include it in your marketing.
I made it tonight, after, it was obvious, my little guy just needed to make it to bedtime … (and so did his mama!) after a busy day at summer camp.
So, did it live up to the name? I thought it was “pretty epic” … so, worth trying, but I’ll probably go back to the regular (Non Epic) box of brownies.
When I asked my 6-year-old what he thought, he had one word for his dessert – “EPIC”!
