UPDATE: The middle and end of my day felt so much better! Isn’t that the life of a parent? I had a maple creemee at my favorite spot, Bragg Farm in East Montpelier, Vermont. And then I ended my day listening to “my guys” playing in the basement. It was pure joy to hear my little guy giggling, chatting away and even humming after Daddy got home from traveling for work.

Do you ever have those moments when something happens and you walk away and say, ‘I wish I would have said … THIS’ and had exactly the right response?
I Want a Redo!
That just happened to me with my 6-year-old and I want a redo!
After I dropped him off at school, I realized I had his hat in my pocket. I guess I could have just gone on my way and let him figure it out, but I didn’t.
There I was, in the class doorway, handing it off and he threw it back at me!
I paused, gave him a “Mom look”, and walked out.

‘Oh, I thought you might want your hat to keep you warm at recess. I guess not.’

Accept My Best ‘In The Moment’
This morning, I’ll just have to accept that I can’t have all the right answers all the time!
I pray that I can accept that – in that moment – I did the best that I could. I’m also literally raising my hands up, like I’m holding a gift, and I’m handing “it” to God.
“It” being too many things to list right now as I run off to check the next ‘to do’ off my list.
